The Books Across the Seas (BATS) project, in coordination with the Rotary Club of Makati and Brother's Brother Foundation are once again mobilizing its forces to continue their quest of providing quality books and reading materials to those in need. Shortly after this year's book donations for Krus na Ligas Elementary and High School followed 5 more beneficiary schools, which were given generous amount of books to complement their libraries: North Fairview High School, Kasambahay Stigmatine Foundation Inc., St. James Academy, Philippine Institute of Quezon City and Parañaque National High School.

From October 3 to 11, formal turnover of books were done in the respective schools in the presence of Allied Bank branch heads and the select representatives of the schools. The books distributed composed mainly of English, Math and Science textbooks. "It is a great privilege to be one of the recipients of your book donations to different schools," says Librarian Vilma C. Taguinod of St. James Academy in a letter of gratitude sent to the Bank.

Indeed, the books being donated will be a great addition to their school libraries, which will encourage more students to enrich their minds and enhance their academic competency through reading.
