Allied Bank Issues Peso LTNCD

     Allied Bank issued last October 22, 2009 the Long Term Negotiable Certificates of Time Deposit (LTNCD) in the amount of P3.5 Billion to expand the Bank's long term deposit base and offer an alternative investment to investors.

      The LTNCDs were issued at par with a fixed rate of 7.0% payable quarterly until 2014. The issue was priced at a spread of approximately 60 basis points above the 5-year PDST-F benchmark.

      The LTNCDs are senior obligations of the Bank and are tax-exempt for individuals as long as the LTNCDs are held until maturity. The LTNCDs are negotiable and transferable in the secondary market through a Market Maker and are covered by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) up to specified limits. The issue was jointly arranged by Deutsche Bank A.G. Manila and ING Bank N.V. with Philippine National Bank (PNB) as selling agent.
