BOOKS ACROSS THE SEAS (BATS)

Fueled by its vision of empowering the Filipino youth, Allied Bank, through Corporate Affairs Department, continues to support various programs that nurture, foster and enhance the youth's knowledge and skill. The Bank carries out its advocacy through the Books Across the Seas (BATS) project, which aims to help public schools and libraries uplift the quality of education in the country through book donation.

For more than 20 years, BATS has been providing avenues to donate educational books to those who are in need, inspiring more and more Filipino students and teachers across the nation. In 1988, the Rotary Club of Makati (RCM) assumed management of BATS in the country, sourcing out books and other educational materials from Brother's Brother Foundation (BBF), an American based charitable institution. In 1995, Allied Bank pledged its support and involvement in the program as it donated P1.0 Million seed money for the project, and, together with Fortune Tobacco Corporation (FTC), provided a warehouse in Baesa, Novaliches, Quezon City for the storage of books. The Bank also facilitates the distribution of donated books through its nationwide branch network.

To avail of the said program, you may request for a BATS Application Form from the Corporate Affairs Department, 4th floor Allied Bank Center, 6754 Ayala Avenue, Makati City or from any Allied Bank branch nationwide.
